Mirror on America - Unit 2

What techniques do advertisers use to target teenage buyers? Why are these techniques so effective? How are these techniques different than those used to targer older audiences or younger children?

When you see a commercial on tv for a new cell phone thats colored or something what teenage doesnt want the Koolest phone around! They play mind games, I'm a vitcim to that, they tell you its so cheap and perfect and everyone has it so you have to have it. If you see something enough and want it enough you always get it. Younger kids are kinda the same they see a new toy they want they will kick and scream until they get it. With older audiences they realize the value of money and unless they really need it their not going to spend extra money.
